MEMF SCHOOL COMPETITION

We are excited to announce the launch of our school competition for this academic year. We are challenging young people, aged 11 to 18, across the UK to redesign a local building or space with the theme of wellbeing in mind.

Our competition provides young people across the UK with a platform to showcase their creativity and innovation while exploring the impact of the built environment on wellbeing.

Discover the
Built Environment

Our mission is to create awareness among young people about careers within the built environment. But what exactly is the built environment?

It’s the sector responsible for building and managing all the places where we live, work, and relax as well as the infrastructure that supports and connects them. Careers within this sector range from surveying, architecture, engineering, urban planning, and construction, and the sector employs around 11% of the UK workforce. The built environment shapes how people interact with their surroundings and influences society, communities, our sense of wellbeing, security and quality of life.

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

My Environment My Future (MEMF) is a fully-funded school programme which embeds knowledge, resources and guidance on careers within the built environment into the delivery of the core GCSE and A-level Geography curriculum.
