We are delighted to announce the winners for the MEMF school competition 2022.
We were so impressed with the standard of the entries we received this year across all the age categories. At the start of the year, we set the challenge to young people across the UK to design a redevelopment of a building or space within their local area. The entries were considered, creative, inclusive, and sustainable. It was incredible to see the innovation and imagination from young people across the UK and the pride and care they take in their local urban area and the communities within them.
We are excited to announce that the following entries are the winners of the MEMF school competition 2022.
Inclusive play park from Felpham Community College (aged 11-13 years old)
The judges were impressed with the thought and care taken into the designs of this project ensuring accessible equipment was integrated throughout the park so all children would be able to enjoy it together.
My Sustainable School from Felpham Community College (aged 14-16 years old)
The submission provided practical and impactful suggestions on how their school facilities can be improved to become more sustainable, thus protecting the planet, and creating a better working environment for pupils and staff.
The Greater Reaches Community Centre from John Mason School (aged 17-18 years old)
This entry assessed the local needs of the community and highlighted the importance of having a safe and inclusive space, which was showcased throughout the designs of the project. They also considered the geographical location of the centre and how that would impact the designs and delivery of the project.
